In fact, I wasn’t seriously thinking about traveling, part-time-job and studying because I had plans to join the army after this semester. When I looked at this assignment, I counted the remaining days before I went to the army after the end of the second semester. Approximatively, I think, a month remained. It’s a little time, but I’ve thought through as much as I can.

If I go on a trip, I will travel south of Japan alone. I think maybe it will be Okinawa. Okinawa is a warmer area than winter in Korea. Also, my friends who went on a trip to Japan recommended this place a lot, and in fact, it is very popular as a tourist destination.

I don’t think I’ll get a part-time job before I go to the army. If I had a boss who hired me with only a month left, I would try to keep my relationship with him for a long time. If I have a part-time-job, I want to work a part-time-job at a convenience store. Because the part-time-job which I want to do after I go to the army is part-time-job at convenience store. So I want to gain experience by working part-time-job at a convenience store before I go to the army. If I make this money, I will spend it on my Okinawa trip or go into my installment savings account.

Actually, I have a plan to study from now until next year. It is the study of Japanese. I am still memorizing basic Japanese Chinese characters, but I will memorize all 1,000 Japanese Chinese characters before the end of this semester, and then I will study in depth such as Japanese grammar and reading.

The reason why I am so hard to study Japanese is blog number 2. I have a plan to go on a trip to Japan in future, so I am studying the language of Japanese. Also, Japanese can be my good specification and if I speak Japanese well, I can get a foreign language scholarship from Sahmyook University. Of course, on this winter vacation trip, there will be very little I can say even if you meet Japanese people. Still, my Japanese studies are the beginning, and I am aiming to win JLPT 1 through a long-term plan of about two years.

While writing this blog, I learned that I can make so many plans even though I have only one month left. There are times when I feel depressed about having to go to the army, but as I came up with this plan, I felt happy and had the power to live hard again.

As soon as I entered Ted’s homepage, I saw a lecture called ‘The Danger of AI is weirder than you think’. And this title stimulated my curiosity. Perhaps the danger of AI, we think, is the story that AI will soon surpass human’s ability and that human will be ruled by AI in the future. But his title made me think that the presenter would introduce something different from what I know. As expected, AI researcher Janelle Shane warned of a slightly different kind of risk.

AI researcher Janelle Shane introduced the evidence to AI based on the research he had experimented with. As soon as I saw this picture, I realized that Janelle Shane’s danger would be nothing like I thought. This picture had nothing to do with AI’s dominance of mankind, and it had nothing to do with beyond human capabilities.

This experiment was done by Janelle Shane in collaboration with Kinder Middle School’s coders. And the subject of the experiment was to collect 1,600 flavors of ice cream and supply them to algorithms to observe what flavor AI produces.

Let’s take a look at the other experiments she’s talking about.

The experiment was done by AI, which used a robot to move robot parts from A to B. In fact, what we want from the robot is to pick up the parts one by one and then move the robot’s legs to move directly to B. In fact, robot scientists now use computer programs to use that method. However, AI is a self-study computer and when AI was given the task of solving the experiment, AI did the following.

Well… I think AI was never wrong. That is actually the right way to go. AI will solve exactly what we have asked technically. Can you say that AI is wrong just because he makes an ice cream called Pumpkin Trash Break and doesn’t use the path we want? I don’t think so.

AI researcher Janelle Shane said “AI can do what we want enough but we do the wrong thing by mistake. This problem is always a problem for AI. They can be destructive. But They don’t know ‘I am destructive’.”
And She advises that humans have a way to solve these problems. It is to develop communication skills with AI. By communicating with AI, we can reduce our mistakes if you know what AI can do or cannot do.

From this lecture, I realized that there were many prejudices and misunderstandings about AI. This lecture made me think that it was useless to think that AI had control over humans. But that is not to ignore or denigrate AI. I saw the tremendous potential of AI in this lecture. We always wanted a specific answer, but AI didn’t. AI’s answer was one of countless possibilities. AI researcher Janelle Shane advised that communication with AI is necessary, but I thought we could apply AI to other areas to confirm the infinite possibilities of AI. When the human brain wants to know the field of no answer or many answers, it seems that our AI can provide the answer now.

AI has already given me a good answer. It was Ted’s ‘AI’ algorithm that introduced me to a really satisfying lecture!

I have many hobbies but I spend most of my time playing computer games. I usually talk about computer games with my friends.
I talk a lot of time during the game. So, I want to do game broadcasting on computer if I have a new hobby.

It takes a lot of equipment to broadcast games on a computer. Computers are basic, and it needs monitors, microphone, and camcorder.
Some People may need gaming equipment (gaming keyboards, gaming mouse, gaming chair, gaming earphone, headset, etc.).
After my research, I need a good computer to broadcast games. Graphics cards and CPU are especially important. Most of the people who do the game broadcasting on computer use two computers or use very expensive graphics cards. I calculated the price of the computer myself-Youtuber(I know), and it cost about 4,418,690 won.
In addition, monitors, microphones and camcorders have to spend a lot of money for broadcasting, although there are many price differences depending on the company.

If I have this hobby, I will do it at home or in a PC room. The broadcasting will be on Twitch or YouTube. And sometimes I want to play games with my friend or famous gamer. The good thing about having this hobby is that I can make money if people watch my show a lot. And I will be very famous! And I like games, so I will be able to have fun broadcasting.
But if I do game broadcasting, my eye and ear will be bad. And if I play too much games, I can get addicted to computer games.

At first, when I saw this blog assignment and looking for things about game broadcasting, there were more things to prepare for than I thought. I thought I just prepare a computer and a microphone, but there were many people who used two monitors, mostly expensive products.
I realized that I had to spend a lot of money before I started broadcasting, especially since it was a game broadcast.

Introduce myself

I’m Park Eun Su(Oliver) and 20 years old. I am majoring in business administration at Sahmyook University. There are 4 people in my family, mom, dad, sister and me. my sister is 2 years younger than me. My hobby is Playing computer games and watching soccer games like EPL, La Liga. And I am interested in studying Japanese lately. I watched a video about Japanese culture on YouTube, and it looked so good that I have been studying Japanese since 1 month ago. I’m not good at Japanese yet, but I really want to go on a trip to Japan after finishing studying Japanese. I lived in Pung-dong, Goyang city for 20 years, but now I have lived in a dormitory of SahmYook University since the second semester of 2019. So I walk to school every morning from the dormitory.

My Summer Vacation

I went on a trip during the summer vacation with my high school friend. We went to Yeosu and Busan by Neillopass for 3 days. If you use Neilopass, you can take mostly all trains except KTX for a set period of time! Using this ticket, we were able to save a lot of money on transportation. We came to Yeosu and looked around Yeosu Sky Tower and Odong Island during the day. At night, We saw the beautiful Yeosu night sea(Yeosu-bambada) while riding a sea cable car.

The next day, we went to Busan by Saemaeul-train. And then we saw a tourist spot in the morning and played on the beach from the afternoon. On the last day, we went to the traditional market, Jagalchi Market and the GukJe market. We could taste Busan fish cake, Ssiat hotteok, etc. It is famous food in Busan.

During this summer vacation, the trip with my friend was a good memory. But I regret that I only took a rest for the rest of the summer vacation. In the next vacation, I will study Japanese and earn money by part-time-job. And then I will go on a trip to Japan before I go to the army.
